Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jeremy Torico (ranked 7717 p4p, 755 weight class) and Brandon Monroe (ranked 8225 p4p, 772 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jeremy Torico!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Brandon Monroe!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Anni Minnemäki and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torico scores with a hook.

Monroe drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Monroe keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Torico's head.
Torico wants to get back to his feet but Monroe is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Monroe scoring with some ground and pound.
Monroe with a nice head shot there.
Monroe is in close to Torico's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Monroe with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Torico is rocked!
Monroe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Monroe drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Monroe jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Oh Torico is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Monroe is pushing down on Torico's leg trying to pass to half guard. Torico is fighting to maintain full guard but Monroe has managed to sneak the leg through.
Torico seems to have got his legs back now.
Monroe seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Monroe looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Torico with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Torico knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Monroe on the ground.
Monroe lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Torico! More strikes land and this one is all over! Monroe jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
