Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dickson Yamada (ranked 6446 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tiny Temper (ranked 4668 p4p, 516 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yamada shoots in and bounces Temper off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Temper is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Yamada has Temper pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Temper manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Yamada looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Yamada shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Temper but Temper pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Temper has one foot on Yamada's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Yamada ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Yamada no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Temper gets to his feet. Yamada looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Yamada shoots for a double leg takedown but Temper sprawls well. He's pushed Yamada's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Yamada doesn't manage to clinch there - Temper circles away.

Temper's corner calls for a 1-2. Temper obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
A punch lands to the side of Yamada 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Yamada seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Temper can do anything to dispel that myth.

Yamada changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Temper tries to avoid it but Yamada manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Temper to the ground. Temper escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Yamada has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Temper is trying to escape the position but Yamada is controlling the position.

Yamada thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
