Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Boyce Larson (ranked 6542 p4p, 0 weight class) and Atakan Aslan (ranked 8855 p4p, 0 weight class). Aslan has chosen Sagopa Kajmer - Sertlik Kanında Var Hayatın as his entrance music. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Larson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Aslan wants to control but Larson postures up.
Aslan might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Larson haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Larson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Larson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Aslan can't do much from the bottom here.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Aslan on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Aslan takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Aslan is trying to escape the position but Larson is controlling the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
You can see the frustration on Aslan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Larson has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Aslan is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Larson yanks on the arm and Aslan is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Larson.
