It looks like Don Carter has been cut.

Carter closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Rodd did well to prevent Carter getting side control.
Carter lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Rodd is trying to get back to full guard.

Carter seems to be working for a kimura but Rodd defends the submission attempt.
Rodd has a hand on Carter's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Carter takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Carter has one arm under Rodd 's neck. Rodd is controlling the other arm well. He's just looking to survive right now. Carter manages to get his arm free though and Rodd is in a world of trouble! Carter sinks in the hooks and squeezes! Rodd turns purple and then goes limp. The referee steps in to end the bout!
