Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jacques Byers (ranked 25305 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ang Roku (ranked 4218 p4p, 0 weight class). Ang Roku will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Roku fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Byers sprawls well initially but Roku persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Roku is working for an americana but Byers has been sneaky and has managed to get back to half guard, whilst Roku was thinking about the submission.
Roku would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Byers is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.

Byers is controlling Roku's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Roku looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Byers has picked Roku up and slammed him! Roku can't keep hold of the triangle and Byers manages to pass to side control!

Roku shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Byers napping and manages to drive through into side control!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Roku wants to control the position but Byers frees himself and scrambles - Roku manages to regain control in side control.
Byers is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Roku's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Roku is looking to take a break and control but Byers is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That was a close round but I would say that Jacques Byers will probably get the nod.
That's time! Byers's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Roku closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Byers to the mat! Byers manages to get full guard.

Byers has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Roku is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Byers might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Roku is looking to stand up but Byers won't let him.
Roku passes Byers's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Roku trying to control the action but Byers is working from the bottom.
Byers looks like he's trying to stand up.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Roku wants to stand but Byers has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Roku looking to score a takedown here. Byers is defending well but Roku drives through and ends up in Byers's guard.

Byers has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Roku off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Roku tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Roku feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Byers manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Come on Byers - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Roku manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
