Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Myles Grady (ranked 2284 p4p, 340 weight class) and Pierre St George (ranked 3531 p4p, 454 weight class). Grady comes into the arena with Nas - N.Y. State of Mind blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Steve Montenegro and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
St George tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Grady was well out of range. Poor timing from St George.
Grady tries to counter with a takedown but St George is quick to defend against it.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Grady misses with a combination
and St George counters with a left to the body.
St George misses with a left hand
and Grady counters with a nice body shot.
Grady looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
An inside leg kick lands from St George.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that St George has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
St George avoids the body shot from Grady.
St George throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Grady fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Grady sizes up St George with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Grady dives in for a single leg takedown but St George sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
St George throws a big shot that misses.
Grady checks a leg kick.
St George scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

and Grady counters with a nice double leg into side control. St George won't be happy with that.
Grady wants to lay and pray for a moment but St George keeps working.
St George is trying to get back to half guard.
You can see the frustration on St George's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Grady is working to tighten his grip on St George's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. St George has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Grady is really squeezing tight and eventually St George passes out! Grady breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Myles Grady retains his welterweight title!
Myles Grady decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
