Bohac I has chosen Horst Wessel Lied as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Martin Bohac I will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.



The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hopkins tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hopkins fails with the takedown.
And Bohac I tries to counter it with a takedown but Hopkins pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Bohac I lands a high kick!

It looks like Leland Hopkins has been cut.
Bohac I looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Bohac I lands with a kick to the temple. Hopkins shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Bohac I throws a head kick that Hopkins semi-blocks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bohac I throws a body kick that misses

and Hopkins counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Hopkins is taking a breather. Bohac I says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bohac I is trying to get back to full guard.
Hopkins stalling.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bohac I trying to control from the bottom.
Hopkins is controlling the pace.
Hopkins seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bohac I for as long as he can get away with.
Hopkins throwing shots but Bohac I is blocking nicely.
Hopkins sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Bohac I wants to improve his position but Hopkins is controlling well.
Bohac I manages to get to full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Hopkins lands a couple of elbows.
Hopkins is working Bohac I over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Hopkins showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Hopkins might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Hopkins postures up in Bohac I's guard and throws a big left but Bohac I blocks it.
Hopkins is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Bohac I looking for a sweep. Not yet Bohac I, not yet.
Bohac I is trying to control the position from the bottom.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Hopkins looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hopkins takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hopkins crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Bohac I - the referee stops the clock and Hopkins gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Bohac I. Hopkins manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
Hopkins blocks a head kick by Bohac I.
Hopkins looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.
Nice jab there from Bohac I.
Hopkins takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

Bohac I lands a big head kick that sends Hopkins tumbling to the mat! Bohac I takes a step backwards and waves Hopkins back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Hopkins is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hopkins gets hit by the mother of all head kicks and drops to the canvas in a crumpled heap! Woooow, the Internet is going to be talking about this one for weeks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Martin Bohac I!
Martin Bohac I decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
