Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between LeBron Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jd Michaels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michaels comes into a darkened arena with his song building. DMX - Aint No Sunshine kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Jd Michaels enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, LeBron Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jd Michaels!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Michaels walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Johnson scores with a punch to the head.
LeBron Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Johnson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Johnson cracks Michaels with an uppercut from hell and Michaels crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Johnson's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!


Michaels is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Johnson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Johnson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Michaels is still in real trouble! Can Johnson finish him?
Johnson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Michaels swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Johnson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Michaels seems to have recovered his senses.

Johnson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Michaels swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Michaels lands a nice leg kick that just misses Johnson's sensitive parts.
Michaels with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Johnson to score with a decent uppercut.
A head kick from Michaels lands but Johnson takes it in his stride.

Johnson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

No joy there for Johnson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Johnson cracks Michaels with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Michaels takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Johnson connects with a good right hand that stumbles Michaels. Michaels circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
LeBron Johnson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Michaels shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Johnson lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Michaels sprawling to the canvas. Johnson follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Michaels hang on?

Johnson is working for a submission of some sort.

Johnson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Johnson wants to control but Michaels is keeping him busy.
Johnson is nestled in close to Michaels, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Johnson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Michaels wants to control but Johnson is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Johnson working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Michaels manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Johnson is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

Johnson stalks Michaels and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Michaels's face. Michaels staggers backwards, shaken.
Michaels shoots for a double leg takedown but Johnson sprawls well. He's pushed Michaels's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Michaels looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Michaels uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Johnson.
Johnson is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.

Michaels tries to close the distance and clinch but Johnson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Johnson scores with a one two! Michaels had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Johnson scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Michaels doesn't seem bothered though.
Michaels throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Johnson connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.

Johnson uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Michaels has time to react.

Johnson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
