Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Ren Mimura and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looked like Valenzuela was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Valenzuela feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

and Valenzuela counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Valenzuela.
Valenzuela breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Valenzuela drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Marquez is working to avoid the ground and pound but Valenzuela connects with a decent elbow.
Valenzuela looks up at the clock and then as Marquez takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Valenzuela smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Valenzuela has hold of Marquez's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Marquez tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Valenzuela cranks the arm and Marquez screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Marquez, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
