Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alex Burrows (ranked 10072 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Franks (ranked 7045 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Franks misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Burrows.

A quick step to the side and Burrows tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Dave Franks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Franks cracks a nice hook into Burrows's ribs.
Burrows displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Franks throws out the jab.

Franks cracks Burrows with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Franks has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Burrows to stand back up!
Franks is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Burrows connects with a body shot.

Franks grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Burrows takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Franks cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!
