Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Grant McCombie (ranked 25437 p4p, 677 weight class) and Yeshaya Kramer Ii (ranked 8726 p4p, 578 weight class). McCombie comes to the cage accompanied by the twist . Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Yeshaya Kramer Ii!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and Michael Johnstone.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kramer Ii cracks a nice hook into McCombie's ribs.

Kramer Ii tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but McCombie was well out of range. Poor timing from Kramer Ii.
McCombie shoots in but no luck this time.

Kramer Ii fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. McCombie looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

McCombie tries to clinch but Kramer Ii moves out of range.

McCombie looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kramer Ii is fending him off so far but McCombie persists. Nope, Kramer Ii circles away and we're back to standing.

McCombie manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

McCombie has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kramer Ii after a bit of a struggle.

McCombie wants the takedown. Kramer Ii is fighting it off but McCombie persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kramer Ii's guard against the cage.

Kramer Ii shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has McCombie pinned against the cage. McCombie gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Kramer Ii thuds his right hand into McCombie's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
McCombie has been working on his balance at The Island Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Kramer Ii.

McCombie displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kramer Ii.
McCombie tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kramer Ii sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten McCombie somewhat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McCombie tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Yeshaya Kramer Ii showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
