The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santiago fails with a takedown attempt.

Santiago is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Gracie sees it coming and defends easily.

Gracie drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Gracie is working Santiago over with some ground and pound from side control.
Santiago tries to buck Gracie off but Gracie is having none of it.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gracie tries to score with some ground and pound. Santiago controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Gracie is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Santiago is trying to escape and Gracie transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Santiago is forced to tap! Nice work there by Gracie! Very nice indeed!
