Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Epithet Valentine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carlos Lima (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Epithet Valentine has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valentine shoots in for a takedown but Lima shows good takedown defense.

Lima closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Valentine is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Lima is working for a submission of some sort.

Lima looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Valentine had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Lima is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Valentine Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Lima's back instead.

and Lima counters with a takedown into side control.

Oh but Lima is tightening it up a little... Valentine has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight!
