Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greg Bell (ranked 4018 p4p, 136 weight class) and Brock Sampson (ranked 3562 p4p, 71 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Greg Bell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brock Sampson!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bell fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sampson sprawls well initially but Bell persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Sampson is looking to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sampson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Bell scores with a couple of nice shots.
Bell not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Sampson is defending against the submission attempts here by Bell.
Sampson gets back to full guard.
Bell throws an elbow that misses. Sampson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Bell's guard. Nice move by Sampson!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bell thows a huge punch but Sampson dodges it nicely.

Sampson has hold of Bell's hands but Bell slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Bell is trying to work for a kimura but Sampson is defending well.
Bell looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Sampson with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Bell with the ground and pound but Sampson uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Bell drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sampson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Bell has Sampson in his guard.

Sampson seems to be working for a kimura but Bell defends the submission attempt.

Sampson lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Sampson lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Sampson lands a nice hook to Bell's body. Bell takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Bell missing with a left hand there. Sampson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
And Sampson tries to counter it with a takedown but Bell pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Bell ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bell no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

We've been hearing good reports from Bell's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Sampson is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Bell knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Bell for a finish.

Sampson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bell does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Brock Sampson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sampson stalks Bell and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Bell's face. Bell staggers backwards, shaken.

Bell gets to his feet and stands over Sampson, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Sampson felt that one! Bell unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Sampson from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Greg Bell!
Greg Bell really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that IniTech Nutrition logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
