PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Seb Sha (ranked 1587 p4p, 226 weight class) and Lahden Linkki (ranked 1415 p4p, 205 weight class). Linkki has chosen Cypress Hill - Cuban Necktie as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Seb Sha!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Lahden Linkki!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sha displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Linkki throws out the jab.
Sha lunges at Linkki with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Linkki's hand.

Sha looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

This has been an exciting period of action!

We've been hearing good reports from Sha's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Linkki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sha. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Linkki is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sha arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Linkki's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Seb Sha!
A very excited looking Seb Sha made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
The defeated Lahden Linkki had this to say: 'That was fucking awesome! Can I go again?!'.
