Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Kerr (ranked 698 p4p, 81 weight class) and Rocco Marciano (ranked 729 p4p, 87 weight class). Marciano is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Marciano is a stone cold pimp out there. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Rocco Marciano was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Kerr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 2, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rocco Marciano!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Reed Andrews and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kerr jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Marciano feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Kerr's calf.
Marciano uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kerr.
A telegraphed right hand from Marciano misses the target.
Marciano's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kerr connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Marciano scrambles back to his feet.
Marciano fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Kerr has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
We've been hearing reports that Kerr has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Rocco Marciano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kerr tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Marciano paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Marciano lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Kerr has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Kerr and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Rocco Marciano showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
