Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Manuel!
The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Luis Engracia and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manuel throws a right hand that Craig ducks under and follows up with a left that Craig also avoids with ease.

Manuel closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Craig to the mat! Craig manages to get full guard.

Craig had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Manuel defends it easily.

and Craig counters with a big head kick but Manuel shrugs it off.

Manuel feints and as Craig raises his hands in defense, Manuel changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Manuel accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Craig is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Craig is pulling down on Manuel's head to control his posture.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Manuel accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Craig looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Manuel pushes past his half guard into mount!

Eduardo Manuel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Manuel shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Craig napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Manuel decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Craig is trying to get back to full guard.
Craig is looking to control Manuel's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Craig avoid being mounted?

Manuel looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Craig manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Manuel takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Manuel moves into range and clinches up with Craig.
Craig really is a fat lump.
Craig is trying to break free.

Manuel wants the takedown. Craig is fighting it off but Manuel persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Craig's guard against the cage.

Craig is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Manuel presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Manuel has hold of one of Craig's legs. Craig is fighting the takedown attempt but Manuel gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Manuel wants to get up but he can't break Craig's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Craig manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Manuel manages to get himself to full guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Craig has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Manuel is proving hard to escape from.

Craig got a little sloppy there for a moment and Manuel has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Craig has managed to get both his arms back between Manuel's legs - danger averted.
Craig in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Manuel wants to control but Craig passes easily into half guard.

Craig decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Manuel drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Craig explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!

Craig moves into the clinch successfully.

Craig pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Manuel throws a hook but Craig blocks it.
Craig attempts a counter takedown but Manuel avoids it well and moves away.

Manuel shoots in and gets a takedown into Craig's guard.

Craig kicks Manuel off and gets to his feet.
Sal Craig is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Eduardo Manuel is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
