Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Bogdan Yanovich (ranked 7153 p4p, 531 weight class) and Kenji Nakamura (ranked 8806 p4p, 566 weight class). Kenji Nakamura will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nakamura clinches up with Yanovich and pushes him back against the cage.
Nakamura has Yanovich pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Yanovich manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Yanovich tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
A short uppercut from Yanovich.
Yanovich stalling.
Nakamura on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Yanovich swings wildly with an uppercut but Nakamura uses good head movement to avoid it.

Yanovich throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Nakamura blocks it with crossed arms.
Yanovich lands with a light punch inside.
Nakamura tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Yanovich smiles and moves away.
Yanovich avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nakamura takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Yanovich misses with an uppercut. Nakamura saw that one coming.
Yanovich stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Yanovich wants it to stay on the feet.
Yanovich swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Bogdan Yanovich has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kenji Nakamura .
Nakamura throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Nakamura has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Nakamura there as he acknowledges the shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nakamura shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Yanovich as he jumps to the side.

Yanovich slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Nakamura tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Yanovich swivels and escapes.
Nakamura takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Yanovich paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Yanovich throws a hook to the side of Nakamura 's head but Nakamura sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Nakamura shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Yanovich as he jumps to the side.
Nakamura walks into a left hand.
The fighters circling - Nakamura throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Yanovich tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Nakamura manages to circle out of the way.

Yanovich connects with a good right hand that stumbles Nakamura . Nakamura circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Nakamura uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Yanovich.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Yanovich clinches up with Nakamura and pushes him back against the cage.
Yanovich fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

Nakamura is rocked!
Nakamura has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Yanovich is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Nakamura is still on wobbly legs! Can Yanovich finish him?
Nakamura drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Nakamura seems to have recovered his senses.
Yanovich lands a left hand.
Yanovich misses with a knee strike.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Yanovich takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Yanovich lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Yanovich dips a shoulder and cracks Nakamura with a mighty uppercut! Nakamura falls back against the cage and Yanovich unloads with a barrage of strikes! Nakamura is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Yanovich screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
