Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jaakko Parantainen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomasz Adamek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adamek fails to land with a series of punches.
Adamek works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.

Parantainen gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Parantainen shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Parantainen was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Adamek is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Adamek really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Parantainen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Parantainen jumps guard but Adamek stands there with Parantainen around his waist. Parantainen gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Parantainen ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Parantainen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Parantainen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Adamek gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

A close round but Tomasz Adamek will probably get the nod.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
