The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
LaCrosse tries to clinch up but Kruiz circles away and keeps his distance.
Kruiz attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Kruiz tries to keep at a distance but LaCrosse has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kruiz misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from LaCrosse.
LaCrosse throws an elbow but it misses.
LaCrosse goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

LaCrosse lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Kruiz or not.
LaCrosse gets underhooks to prevent Kruiz's takedown attempt.
Kruiz has LaCrosse pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. LaCrosse manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kruiz is trying to drag LaCrosse to the mat but LaCrosse just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Kruiz wants the takedown. LaCrosse is fighting it off but Kruiz persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in LaCrosse's guard against the cage.

Kruiz is working to tighten his grip on LaCrosse's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. LaCrosse has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Kruiz is really squeezing tight and eventually LaCrosse passes out! Kruiz breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Tom Kruiz tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
