Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Quinton Johnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Davies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnes's entrance music is Burnt (Feat. Lindo P). A fine choice. On his way into the cage it seems that Quinton Johnes has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Quinton Johnes seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Edson Gomes and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davies ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Johnes stuffs the takedown.
Johnes tries to bum rush Davies with a series of wild strikes but Davies uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
A head kick from Davies lands but Johnes takes it in his stride.
It looks like Quinton Johnes has been cut.
Johnes has taken the fight to the clinch.
Johnes jumps guard and drags Davies to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Johnes pushes Davies off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Johnes will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Johnes wants to clinch.
Davies falls off balance throwing a combination
and Johnes counters with a nice body shot.
Davies lands a nice looking body kick.

Davies throws a left and a right that both miss
and Johnes counters with a solid body kick.
Davies tries to clinch up.
Johnes takes one on the button.
Davies throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Quinton Johnes's cut is getting worse.

Oooh a lovely combination from Davies sends Johnes down but not out. Davies dives into side control looking to finish.
Davies works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Davies decides to stand up, so the ref orders Johnes to his feet.
Davies throws a leg kick which misses Johnes's front leg but catches the back leg as Johnes tries to avoid it.
Davies shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Johnes as he jumps to the side.
Davies lunges at Johnes with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Johnes's hand.
Davies tries to clinch but Johnes moves away
and Johnes counters by clinching up.
Davies wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Johnes has him pressed against the cage.
Davies is working for takedown but Johnes is calmly controlling the position for now.
Quinton Johnes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dean Davies.
Johnes breaks from the clinch.
Johnes instigates a clinch.
Davies is trying to maintain a safe position but Johnes gets an underhook and turns Davies into the cage.
Davies drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Johnes gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Johnes breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A jab from Davies misses.
Johnes shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Johnes lands with some strikes.
Davies really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Johnes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Davies tries to hold on but Johnes postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Johnes misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Davies bucks up and throws Johnes to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!
Johnes takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Davies misses with a body kick.
Johnes bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Johnes decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Davies has his takedown stuffed
and Johnes counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Davies!
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Johnes cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Davies is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Davies working to try and regain half guard.
Johnes is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Davies has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Davies!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Davies wants to stand and escape but instead Johnes has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Johnes trying to control but Davies is working from the bottom.
Davies is looking for a triangle but Johnes pushes his legs off easily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Davies kicks Johnes off and gets to his feet.
Davies ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Johnes moves away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

and Johnes counters with a three punch combo that has Davies backing up. Davies nods at Johnes to acknowledge the strikes.
Davies throws a head kick that misses.
Johnes looks to land a combination. Davies sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Davies clinches but Johnes breaks the clinch
and Johnes decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Davies's guard.
Johnes controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Johnes stands up from Davies's guard - Johnes perhaps looking for a knockout.

Davies wants to clinch up but Johnes keeps it at a distance.
Johnes closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Johnes has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Davies!
Johnes is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Davies can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Dean Davies seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Davies darts in trying to clinch
and Johnes counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Davies isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Johnes stacks Davies on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Johnes!
Johnes is looking to take a break and control but Davies is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Davies tries to lock up and control but Johnes gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Johnes throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Davies wants to control but Johnes is having none of it.
Davies tries to buck Johnes off so he can stand up but Johnes has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Davies falls backwards, slamming Johnes to the mat but Johnes holds on tight! Davies is forced to tap and this one is all over!
