And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Reggie Grimdal!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lal shoots and misses

and Grimdal moves into the clinch.
Lal tries to break free but Grimdal pushes him back against the cage.
Grimdal prevents a takedown attempt there.

Lal manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Lal looking to hit a scissor sweep but Grimdal is one step ahead there.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Grimdal gets to his feet - Lal follows without any prompting.
Lal misses with a takedown attempt - Grimdal sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vihaan Lal. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lal shoots for a takedown but Grimdal saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Grimdal defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lal.

Grimdal moves into range and clinches up with Lal.
Grimdal lands an elbow that stopped Lal in his tracks for a moment.
Lal is looking for a takedown.

Grimdal lands a nice elbow.

Grimdal breaks the clinch.

Grimdal fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lal, pushing him back against the cage.
Grimdal creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Lal's defenses.
Lal really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Grimdal lands an elbow just above Lal 's eye.

Grimdal pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Lal gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Grimdal counters with a head kick that drops Lal to the mat! Lal scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!

Lal is rocked!
Lal is breathing heavily.

Lal gets tackled into the cage by Grimdal. Grimdal maintains the clinch.
Oh Lal is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Grimdal creates some distance and fires off a vicious elbow that drops Lal! He pounces and finishes the fight with more strikes! Nice KO for Grimdal.
