Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dante Sosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bob Jones looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bob Jones!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dante Sosa!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sosa throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jones on the side of the head.
Jones fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Jones tries a head kick but it misses.
Sosa misses with a wild combination.
Sosa misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Sosa rushes Jones and presses him up against the cage.
Sosa jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jones walks away with a smile on his face. Sosa gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Sosa should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Sosa is looking to clinch.

Sosa tries for a takedown but Jones manages to get underhooks.
Bob Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dante Sosa.

Jones is trying to drag Sosa to the mat but Sosa just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Sosa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Sosa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Sosa has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Jones is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Jones tries to pull guard but Sosa holds him up against the cage and eventually Jones drops back down to his feet.
Jones goes for a takedown attempt but Sosa pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Sosa wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Sosa closes the distance and clinches.
Jones tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Sosa just stands there and leans against the cage.
Jones blocks an elbow strike.
Sosa stalling in the clinch.

Sosa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sosa tries to clinch but Jones moves out of range.

Jones tries to keep at a distance but Sosa has taken the fight into the clinch.
Sosa tries to pull guard but Jones holds him up against the cage and eventually Sosa drops back down to his feet.

Sosa jumps guard and drags Jones to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Sosa wants to stand up but Jones is controlling him.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jones tries to free his leg and advance position but Sosa is retaining full guard.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Jones walks forward, straight into a front kick from Sosa.

Sosa fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jones, pushing him back against the cage.

Sosa breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Sosa looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jones keeps the fight on the outside.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dante Sosa dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Jones closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Jones lands in his opponent's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Dante Sosa showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Sosa tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.

and Jones counters with a left and a right that stings Sosa.
Sosa shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Sosa's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bob Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dante Sosa.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well Sosa has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
