Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Clyde Hampton (ranked 6461 p4p, 641 weight class) and Simon Brinkwater (ranked 5321 p4p, 551 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brinkwater rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hampton moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

It looks like Clyde Hampton has been cut.
Brinkwater's corner calls for a 1-2. Brinkwater obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Brinkwater fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Brinkwater throws a quick inside leg kick.
Brinkwater takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Brinkwater feints and as Hampton raises his hands in defense, Brinkwater changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Hampton pushes Brinkwater off and scrambles back to his feet.
Brinkwater shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Hampton as he avoids it easily.
Hampton tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Hampton throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A nice combination there by Brinkwater.
Brinkwater fails to land with a series of punches.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Hampton is defended easily by Brinkwater.

Hampton slips a jab and a cross from Brinkwater.
Hampton tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Brinkwater defends well and Hampton ends up having to push Brinkwater into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Brinkwater now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Clyde Hampton. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hampton avoids a punch combination nicely.
Brinkwater is working the combinations to good effect here.
Brinkwater throws a series of punches but Hampton avoids them all with ease.
Hampton closes the distance and clinches up with Brinkwater, looking for a takedown. Hampton pushes Brinkwater against the cage but Brinkwater circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brinkwater wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Brinkwater tries to bum rush Hampton with a series of wild strikes but Hampton uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hampton dives in and grabs Brinkwater's left leg, looking for a takedown. Brinkwater pushes down on Hampton's head and hops out.

Brinkwater circles away from the clinch attempt.
Brinkwater scores with a nice strike.
Hampton takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hampton.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hampton is rocked!
Brinkwater goes for a small jab and connects. Now Brinkwater goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Hampton stumbles back but Brinkwater runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Hampton to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Hampton will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
