The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stambuk lands a big head kick that sends Rodrigo tumbling to the mat! Stambuk takes a step backwards and waves Rodrigo back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Stambuk misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Stambuk swinging wildly here.
Rodrigo stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Stambuk.
Stambuk tries to clinch but Rodrigo is having none of it.
Stambuk throws a combination that misses
and Rodrigo counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rodrigo forces his way into half guard.
Stambuk missing with punches from the bottom.
Rodrigo wants to free his trapped foot but Stambuk is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stambuk manages to get to full guard.
Stambuk really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rodrigo . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Rodrigo drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Rodrigo seems to have locked his on tight now - Stambuk screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Rodrigo , as he picks up the win!
