Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Mayhem (ranked 379 p4p, 54 weight class) and Darth Sidious (ranked 446 p4p, 64 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayhem lands with a thumping leg kick.
Mayhem fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Mayhem ducks under a wild hook from Sidious.
Mayhem moves out of range of the body kick.
Sidious fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Mayhem manages to avoid it.
Mayhem appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sidious enables Mayhem to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sidious manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Mayhem postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Darth Sidious seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Mayhem closes the distance and clinches up with Sidious, looking for a takedown. Mayhem pushes Sidious against the cage but Sidious circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mayhem shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Sidious as he jumps to the side.

As Sidious backs away, Mayhem returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Mayhem has Sidious pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Mayhem pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Sidious tumbling to the mat - Mayhem dives into Sidious's guard.

Mayhem decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Sidious is staying active underneath Mayhem, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Mayhem has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Mayhem misses with a head shot. Sidious uses the momentum to regain guard.
