The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nucombe lands with an overhand left.
Nucombe misses the jab.
The fighters circling - Katou throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Katou displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Nucombe throws out the jab.
Katou clinches with his opponent.
Nucombe misses with a punch on the inside.
Nucombe tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Katou tries to circle away but Nucombe has him pinned against the cage.
Nucombe misses with a punch to the body.
Katou throws a head punch that misses.
Our sources have told us that Nucombe has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.

Nucombe lands with a light punch inside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nucombe has Katou pressed against the cage, preventing Katou from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nucombe lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Katou is trying to maintain a safe position but Nucombe gets an underhook and turns Katou into the cage.
Nucombe drops Katou with a big knee straight up the middle! Katou is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
Katou is rocked!
Katou leaves his chin hanging out and Nucombe seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Katou crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
