PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kolo Salita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddy Bravo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Eddy Bravo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Salita misses with a two punch combination.

Salita shoots in and drives through. Bravo sprawls well.

Bravo keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Salita moves in looking to clinch but Bravo pushes him off.

Salita is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bravo has control of Salita's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Salita regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Salita wants to hold on but Bravo pushes him away.

Salita throws a right hand that Bravo ducks under and follows up with a left that Bravo also avoids with ease.

Salita has a hand on Bravo's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Bravo takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Bravo wants to finish this one by submission but Salita is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Bravo.

Bravo wants to control the pace but Salita is squirming around nicely.
Salita is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Bravo moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Salita has worked his arm free - good work by Salita!
Salita is working to avoid the ground and pound but Bravo connects with a decent elbow.

Bravo is looking to take a break and control but Salita is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Bravo gets to mount! Salita was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Bravo cracks Salita with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Salita manages to control the position for a moment.
Bravo scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Bravo tries to control but Salita wriggling away.
Bravo punching from mount but Salita doing a good job of avoiding damage.

Bravo wants to control the pace but Salita is squirming around nicely.

Bravo is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Salita has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Salita!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Salita tries to free his leg and advance position but Bravo is retaining full guard.
Bravo is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Salita drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Bravo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Salita has Bravo in his guard.

Eddy Bravo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Salita's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Bravo throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Bravo goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Salita turns into him and now he's in Bravo's guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Salita wants to pass the guard but Bravo is keeping the position.

Salita is fighting to break Bravo's control of his arms but Bravo is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Bravo throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

Well Bravo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
