The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dela Rosa takes the fight into the clinch.

Malenczuk's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Malenczuk throws a looping overhand right but Dela Rosa ducks down to avoid it.
Malenczuk looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dela Rosa is fending him off so far but Malenczuk persists. Nope, Dela Rosa circles away and we're back to standing.

Dela Rosa drops Malenczuk with a beautiful combination! Malenczuk stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Dela Rosa is looking for the KO!

It looks like Damian Malenczuk has been cut.
Malenczuk throws a series of punches but Dela Rosa moves out of range.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Malenczuk closes the distance and clinches up with Dela Rosa, looking for a takedown. Malenczuk pushes Dela Rosa against the cage but Dela Rosa circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dela Rosa tries to counter by clinching up but Malenczuk breaks away and moves out of range.
Dela Rosa stuffs the takedown.
Bato Dela Rosa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Damian Malenczuk.
