Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rex Ruger (ranked 4386 p4p, 207 weight class) and Pablo Jr Silva (ranked 6778 p4p, 292 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ruger defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Silva.
Rex Ruger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ruger tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Ruger tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ruger manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Ruger closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Silva's guard.
Ruger looking to sit in guard and control but Silva gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Ruger wants to sweep here but Silva controlling him for the moment.

Silva wants to pass the guard but Ruger is keeping the position.

Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ruger swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Ruger looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ruger wants to stand and escape but Silva is having none of it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Silva throws a low kick but Ruger moves out of range easily.
Silva dives in and grabs Ruger's left leg, looking for a takedown. Ruger pushes down on Silva's head and hops out.
Rex Ruger has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pablo Jr Silva.
Ruger will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Silva shoots in but Ruger avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ruger tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Silva defends well and Ruger ends up having to push Silva into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Silva throws a solid leg kick but Ruger takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Silva.

Silva is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Ruger looking to hit a scissor sweep but Silva is one step ahead there.

Silva closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ruger quickly recovers to half guard.
Ruger is trying to control but Silva manages to pass to mount!
Ruger is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Ruger slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Silva is looking for a kimura here.
Ruger looks like he's trying to stand up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Pablo Jr Silva will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Ruger tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Silva swivels and escapes.
