The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Steve Montenegro and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Konate throws a series of strikes that have Harris backpedaling.
It looks like Brook Harris has been cut.
Konate lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Konate chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Harris can pounce on him.
Leonardo Konate seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Konate scores with a three punch combo!
Konate does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Harris tries to clinch up but Konate circles away and keeps his distance.
Konate closes the distance and clinches.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Konate pushes Harris back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Harris changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Konate fights it off and pushes away nicely.

I was talking to Konate's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Konate feints a jab promting Harris to slip. Konate then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Harris slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Harris lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Harris .
Konate forces Harris back against the cage and clinches.
Harris tries to throw a body punch but Konate avoids it by throwing Harris back against the cage.
Konate tries to break the clinch but Harris is controlling the position.

Harris has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Konate is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Konate is pushing Harris up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Konate wants to get back to striking at distance but Harris won't allow it.
Konate throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Harris blocks it with crossed arms.
Konate changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Harris fights it off and pushes away nicely.

and Harris counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Konate looking to hit a scissor sweep but Harris is one step ahead there.

Harris not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Konate is trying to control but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Konate clinches up against the cage.
Konate is working for takedown but Harris is calmly controlling the position for now.
Harris breaks the clinch.
Harris pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Konate back to the cage. Harris follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Nice takedown defense from Konate. No joy for Harris on that attempt.
Harris has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Konate leaves Harris with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Leonardo Konate is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Harris throws a series of punches but Konate moves out of range.
It looked like Konate was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Harris .
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Konate tries to close the distance and clinch up but Harris swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Harris feints the counter takedown.
Harris takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Konate stuns Harris with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Harris feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Konate is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Harris dives into side control.
Harris tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Konate tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Harris wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Konate looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Harris ! Submission of the night perhaps?
