The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Skaf's coach down at WildBoar's Pig Pen (Strength and Conditioning) $40 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Skaf's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

Skaf escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Tabatabai drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Tabatabai doesn't manage to clinch there - Skaf circles away.

Skaf avoids the body shot from Tabatabai.
Tabatabai on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

Skaf lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Tabatabai is breathing heavily.

Skaf breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Skaf throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Tabatabai stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Skaf dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Skaf wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Skaf lands with a shot to the body.
Abdel Rahman Skaf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Skaf jabs at Tabatabai's body.

Skaf lands a big right hand that sends Tabatabai crashing to the mat! Skaf stays standing though and waves Tabatabai back to his feet!

It looks like John Tabatabai has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Abdel Rahman Skaf decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
