Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeremy Locastro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
13 - 21 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Asko Ilmarinen!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ilmarinen moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Ilmarinen walks into a straight right hand from Locastro.
Locastro scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Locastro throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Ilmarinen gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Locastro scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Ilmarinen takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Ilmarinen takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Ilmarinen looks winded!
Locastro scores with a shot to the body.
Ilmarinen misses with a takedown attempt
and Locastro counters with a stiff right hand.
Ilmarinen has his takedown stuffed
and Locastro counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ilmarinen throws a head kick but Locastro moves out of range.
Locastro misses with a low kick.
Jab, jab by Locastro - just one landing.
Locastro is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Locastro, as that shot connected.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Locastro's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Locastro duly obliges.
A right-left combo lands from Locastro.
Ilmarinen is rocked!
Locastro cracks Ilmarinen with a left hook right on the temple and Ilmarinen goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Locastro lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Ilmarinen is OK!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jeremy Locastro!
