Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Mai Pai (ranked 24470 p4p, 146 weight class) and Avery Nijholt (ranked 2709 p4p, 55 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mai Pai!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Avery Nijholt!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Nijholt.
Nijholt misses with a right hand
and Pai counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A jab from Nijholt does it's job there.
Pai staying out of range there.
Nijholt motions for Pai to come forward. Nijholt throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Avery Nijholt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A lazy left from Nijholt finds it's target.

A short right hand to the side of the head by Nijholt.
Nijholt lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Nijholt pushes Pai back against the ropes and unloads with a body punch.
Pai tries to work over Nijholt's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Pai tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Nijholt lands a left hand that snaps the head of Pai backwards.
I was talking to Pai's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Nijholt lands an elbow just above Pai 's eye.
Pai is pushing Nijholt up against the ropes, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Nijholt blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Pai has had enough of the clinch but Nijholt keeps him there for the moment.
Nijholt comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
Nijholt works on Pai's body with a couple of short punches.
Nijholt blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Pai misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Nijholt.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
A short body shot lands from Nijholt as the two fighters clinch.

Oh Pai is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Pai looks to throw an elbow but misses.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Nijholt throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Pais head.

Pai's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Pai takes an elbow to the forehead.
Pai goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Nijholt gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Pai pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the ropes.

Pai wants to get back to striking at distance but Nijholt won't allow it.

Nijholt digs a right hand into Pai's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Pai's gas tank.

Nijholt lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Pai or not.
Pai tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Nijholt avoids it.
Pai seems to have got his legs back now.

Nijholt creates a bit of space for himself and unleashed what can only be described as a tiger uppercut, straight out of Street Fighter! Pai crashes to the mat! Can he make it back to his feet in time? 3,4,5,6... it doesn't look like he's going to make it! Pai face plants back to the mat and the referee calls off the fight! Nijholt takes it with a brutal technical knockout!
