Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michel Cook!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Alessandro Turchi!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turchi tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Turchi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cook, pushing him back against the cage.
Turchi has had enough of the clinch but Cook keeps him there for the moment.
Turchi tries to break the clinch but Cook is controlling the position.
Turchi is leaning against Cook and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
A hook to the body from Turchi.
Turchi works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Turchi wants to get back to striking at distance but Cook won't allow it.
Nice body punch from Turchi.
Cook is breathing heavily.
Turchi is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Turchi gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Cook could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Cook can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Turchi controls the pace.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Cook is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Turchi defends well.
Turchi in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Turchi stands and steps away. Cook gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Turchi rushes Cook and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Cook is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Turchi is keeping busy.
Cook goes for a takedown attempt but Turchi pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Turchi throws a leg kick but Cook sees it coming and moves out of range.
Cook attempts a counter takedown but Turchi avoids it well and moves away.
Turchi stuns Cook with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Alessandro Turchi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Cook takes one on the chin but seems OK.


It looks like Michel Cook has been cut.
Cook finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Turchi's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Cook falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alessandro Turchi!
