The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Walcott looks to land a combination. Brooksbank sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Brooksbank feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
We've been hearing good reports from Brooksbank's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Walcott is taking a breather. Brooksbank says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Walcott is trying to control the action in half guard but Brooksbank is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Well, if Walcott is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Walcott pushes Brooksbank against the cage. Walcott is working some dirty boxing. Walcott pushes off with a quick right hook! Brooksbank goes down! Brooksbank tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Walcott moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!
