Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Haldrick Baldrick (ranked 4787 p4p, 505 weight class) and Somchai Paowsong (ranked 21657 p4p, 732 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Somchai Paowsong!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid leg kick lands there for Baldrick.
Paowsong works Baldrick's body with a nice hook.
Paowsong thuds a left hand into Baldrick's body.
Baldrick slips a jab from Paowsong.
Baldrick is looking for a counter combo.
Baldrick misses with the body kick
and Paowsong counters with a stiff right hand.

Paowsong scores a flash knockdown with a right hook that drops Baldrick to his hands and knees! The ref pushes Paowsong away as he looks to land an illegal blow. Baldrick got an extra few seconds to recover there, which could have made all the differences as he stumbles back to his feet. The referee looks into his eyes and decides to allow the bout to continue. Can he survive?!

It looks like Haldrick Baldrick has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Baldrick throws a lazy uppercut
and before Baldrick has any time to reset, Paowsong cracks him with a big right hand that drops him face first to the canvas! He's hurt! I don't think he's going to get back up from that one! He's trying but he's doing the chicken dance and has face planted into to ropes, causing the referee to bring this fight to an end! This one is all over!
