The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black wants to clinch up but Fields keeps it at a distance.
Black misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Black!

It looks like Mathew Fields has been cut.
Black throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Fields avoids the head kick by Black.
Fields really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Black ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Fields uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Black.

and Fields counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Black preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Fields controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Fields is standing up over Black. Black looks to escape but Fields dives into side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Fields slows the pace down.
Black wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Fields just content to control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Black tries a head kick but it misses.
Bobby Black seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Black throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Fields crashing down! Fields tries to stagger back to his feet but Black just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Fields asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
