The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Francis as he jumps to the side.
Taylor scores with the left hand. Francis knows he should have avoided that one.
Francis ducks right into an uppercut from Taylor.
Taylor lands a head shot.
A punch lands to the side of Francis 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Taylor shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Taylor throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Taylor looks for a takedown but Francis sprawls well.
Steve Francis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eric Taylor.
Taylor fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Eric Taylor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Francis drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Francis seems to have locked his on tight now - Taylor screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Francis, as he picks up the win!
