The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saint Pierre throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Anderson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Saint Pierre has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Anderson has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Saint Pierre's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Anderson moves in looking to clinch but Saint Pierre pushes him off.
Anderson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Saint Pierre pushes Anderson off and gets back to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Saint Pierre enables Anderson to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Saint Pierre manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Saint Pierre pushes Anderson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Demetrious Saint Pierre is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Saint Pierre loads up on a big right hand but Anderson slips the punch.
Saint Pierre misses with a series of wild punches.
Saint Pierre keeps the fight on the outside.

Anderson doesn't manage to clinch there - Saint Pierre circles away.

Anderson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

A little jabbing left from Saint Pierre on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Anderson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Saint Pierre is trying to defend but Anderson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

and Saint Pierre counters with a straight right hand.
Anderson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Saint Pierre.
Saint Pierre throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
It looked like Anderson was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Saint Pierre.
Saint Pierre loads up on a big right hand but Anderson slips the punch.
Sloppy strikes from Anderson . Those never looked like landing.

Anderson feints and as Saint Pierre raises his hands in defense, Anderson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Saint Pierre pushes Anderson off and scrambles back to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Saint Pierre counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Saint Pierre scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Anderson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Saint Pierre to the mat! Saint Pierre manages to get full guard.

Saint Pierre has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Anderson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Anderson is rocked!
Lincoln Anderson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Anderson walks right into a perfectly timed right hook and goes down hard! He's out cold! The ref cradles Anderson limp body while Saint Pierre jumps on to the cage and waves to the roaring crowd. Wow that was just a brutal knockout!
