The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smitterhs fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Smitterhs shoots for a double leg takedown but Kikkeli sprawls well. He's pushed Smitterhs's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Kikkeli tries to clinch there but Smitterhs circles away.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Kikkeli manages to capitalize on a mistake by Smitterhs to take his back!
