PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Guido Rossi (ranked 2744 p4p, 0 weight class) and Angelo Belocchi (ranked 6437 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belocchi fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Rossi misses the shot to the body.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Belocchi lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Rossi has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Rossi and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Rossi.
Rossi tries to throw a body punch but Belocchi avoids it by throwing Rossi back against the cage.

Belocchi manages to break the clinch.
Belocchi displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Rossi throws out the jab.
A nice side step and Belocchi releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Belocchi fails with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Guido Rossi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Rossi counters with a crisp right that sends Belocchi to the canvas! Rossi follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

After the fight, Guido Rossi was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
