The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black throws a body punch but Sargent moves out of range.
A slapping leg kick lands for Black.
Black fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sargent.
Black closes the distance but Sargent moves to the side

and Sargent counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Sargent.

Sargent drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sargent jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Black has momentary wrist control but Sargent slips an elbow through the middle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sargent drops back looking for a leg! Black is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Black manages to kick Sargent off! Sargent jumps back into Black's guard.
Black wants to get back to his feet but Sargent is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Sargent makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Sargent will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Sargent stands up over Black, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Sargent drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Sargent as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Black screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Sargent! Nice submission victory there!
