The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torres swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Torres misses the jab.
Gonza has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Razor Sharp Training Systems in the buildup to the fight.
Gonza throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Gonza just misses with a punch to the body.
Some wild striking there from Torres.
Torres has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Gonza is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Torres moves out of range as Gonza strikes.
A low kick from Gonza is predictable there
and Torres counters with a stiff right hand.
Gonza scores with a nice right hand.
Gonza lands a slapping body shot.
Torres ducks under a wild hook from Gonza.
Torres uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Gonza.
Gonza misses the jab.
Gonza throws a looping overhand right but Torres ducks down to avoid it.
Gonza throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Torres steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gonza.
Torres throws a series of punches but Gonza avoids them all with ease.

Gonza connects with a body shot that sends Torres's belly button to the back.

Gonza looks to land a right hand but Torres moved out of range.

Torres drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Gonza throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!

Gonza lunges at Torres with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Torres's hand.
Captain Gonza is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gonza thows a left - swing and a miss!

Gonza drops Torres with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Torres looks back up at him and smiles so Gonza waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Torres is rocked!
Gonza weaves into range and cracks Torres right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Torres goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Gonza is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Captain Gonza!
Captain Gonza spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
