Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Brophy (ranked 388 p4p, 48 weight class) and Cyril Makarenko (ranked 275 p4p, 31 weight class). Brophy kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is The Grumpy Song. Bob Brophy could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Cyril Makarenko's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makarenko lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Makarenko takes a swing at Brophy's ribcage but misses.
It appears Brophy was looking to counter with a kick there.
Cyril Makarenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Brophy feints and then cracks Makarenko's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Makarenko down.

Brophy gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Makarenko will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

and Brophy counters with a crisp one two that drops Makarenko! Brophy thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Makarenko to his feet! Makarenko is in big trouble!

and Brophy counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Makarenko off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Brophy follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Makarenko was out before he hit the floor.

A relieved looking Bob Brophy thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
