Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karl Karlsson (ranked 2005 p4p, 282 weight class) and James Kingsley (ranked 1954 p4p, 274 weight class). Karlsson comes to the cage accompanied by Nemesis by Arch Enemy. Kingsley has chosen Alpenglow (instrumental) - Nightwish as his entrance music. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Kingsley!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kingsley scores with a nice strike.
Karlsson slips a straight right by Kingsley.
Karlsson steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Kingsley.

Kingsley throws a head kick but Karlsson moves out of range.
Karlsson avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Kingsley swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kingsley. Karlsson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Karlsson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Kingsley fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Karlsson sprawls well initially but Kingsley persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kingsley is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Kingsley tries to pass to full mount but Karlsson defends it.
Kingsley is nestled in close to Karlsson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Karlsson wants to get back to full guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kingsley connects with a nice short shot to Karlsson's temple.
Kingsley lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Karlsson misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Kingsley wants to take a breather but Karlsson is having none of it.

Karlsson wants to control but Kingsley is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Karlsson is looking for a sweep. Kingsley is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Kingsley wants to pass to mount but Karlsson is defending the position.

Kingsley wants to work for an arm triangle but Karlsson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Kingsley takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Kingsley is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Karlsson is trying desperately to improve position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kingsley has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Karlsson's face.

Kingsley cracks Karlsson with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

James Kingsley really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that KOMBAT KLOTHING logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
