Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mysterio Muerte!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, David Hoff and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Friedman tries to score a power double leg takedown but Muerte sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Friedman somewhat.
Friedman misses with a takedown attempt - Muerte sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Muerte keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Milton Friedman. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Muerte dives in for a single leg takedown but Friedman sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
No luck for Friedman with that takedown attempt.

Muerte is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Friedman is pulling down on Muerte's head. It's preventing any offense from Muerte, at least for the moment.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's time! Friedman's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Muerte looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Friedman works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Muerte is looking for a sweep.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The referee warns Muerte that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Friedman has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Muerte's face.

Friedman postures up and throws a big right hand. BOOM! Right on the button! Muerte is out cold - huge knockout for Friedman!
