The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanford moves into the clinch successfully.
Sanford tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Gunn unleashes a big counter combination but Sanford bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.

Sanford jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Gunn walks away with a smile on his face. Sanford gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Sanford throws an overhand right that lands on Gunn's shoulder, as Gunn tries to avoid the shot.
Gunn misses with a jab, cross combination.
Sanford throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Gunn cracks Sanford with a good jab.

Sanford drives through and clinches with Gunn against the cage.

Sanford has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Gunn uses from the top position.
Gunn really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanford. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
