Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dirk Diggler (ranked 5210 p4p, 591 weight class) and Drevin Bell (ranked 7607 p4p, 699 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Dirk Diggler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Drevin Bell!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Franklyn Lucas and Steve Montenegro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Bell, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Bell gets the takedown into side control.
Diggler is pushing Bell's head away, looking to escape. Bell manages to hold on to the position though.
Bell really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diggler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Diggler is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
You can see the frustration on Diggler's face as Bell controls the position.
Diggler stops Bell from passing to mount.

Bell has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Bell shoots in but no luck this time.

Diggler has managed to clinch.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Diggler.
Bell fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Diggler wants to take the fight to the mat but Bell manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Bell escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A right-left combo lands from Bell.
Bell connects with a right hand. Diggler shakes it off.
Bell misses with a low kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A combination from Bell does no damage.

Bell rushes Diggler and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Bell stalling in the clinch but Diggler improves position.
Bell stops a takedown attempt from Diggler.
Diggler avoiding damage as Bell throws knees to the body.
Diggler is looking for a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dirk Diggler. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bell unloads a knee to the mid-section.

Bell decides to pull guard.
Diggler connects with a couple of short punches.

It looks like Drevin Bell has been cut.
Diggler trying to control the position from guard on top but Bell is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Diggler chips away with some ground and pound.
Bell trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Diggler postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Bell is rocked!

That has opened up Drevin Bell's cut even more.
Diggler forces his way into half guard.
Bell is still in real trouble! Can Diggler finish him?
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Bell can do anything to dispel that myth.
Diggler trying to control from Bell's half guard. Bell has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Diggler landing with the ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Diggler gets to his feet and stands over Bell, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Bell felt that one! Diggler unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Bell from any more punishment!
