Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Christopher Clubus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Andre Silva struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.8lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Clubus.
Clubus throws a lazy right hand but Silva sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Clubus swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Clubus is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Silva still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Silva has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
